Rite of Christian Initiation
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which the Catholic Church welcomes new members. This process is a journey of faith which includes inquiry into the teachings of the Church, faith-sharing and study of scripture leading up to the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism and/or Confirmation and/or Eucharist.
